Continuing the slight
trend of getting better every year,
was 2014. Most amount of cars/bikes
and most money raised in our five
year history. :)
- 199 cars
and motorbikes
- $3,678.00
raised via rider/driver/passenger
donations and gate fees for walk
ins, plus remaining sponsor money
after the bills were paid.
- Guest judge; Allan
Dick. Six trophies and
prize packs were won, and they all
went to the right categories for
the first time! :P
AUSTRALIAN: Glenn - 1972 Chrysler
Charger E49
BRITISH: Hayden - 1974 Ford Escort
Mexico replica
EUROPEAN: Alistair - 1957 BMW Isetta
JAPANESE: Mike - 1984 Mitsubishi

AMERICAN: Wayne - 1957 Cadillac

MOTORCYCLE: John - Triumph Bonneville
- Heaps of cool
cars again, like a convertible Maserati,
heaps of Toyota Supras, a number
of shiney motorbikes, a TVR Chimaera!,
a rare Renault Sport Spyder, Citroen
2CV? plus a heap more.

Yet again it was
a slightly wet day, but it was our
best year yet!
- 188 cars
and motorbikes
- $3,655.70
raised via rider/driver/passenger
donations and gate fees for walk
ins, plus remaining sponsor money
after the bills were paid.
- Guest judges;
Tracy Chambers
(TC, from The Rock), and Lyn
Chapman from the hospice.
Five trophies and prize packs were
won, but sadly they didn't go to
quite the right categories (multiple
Aussie and American cars, and a
motorbike, which wasn't actually
eligable this year - won't happen
again though!)
AUSTRALIAN: Murray - 20xx FPV
Falcon GT (FG?) (white/black stripes)
BRITISH: -
EUROPEAN: -
JAPANESE: -
AMERICAN: 1959 Chevrolet Impala
(dark red/maroon)
AUSTRALIAN #2: Jason - Valiant AP5
(teal)
AMERICAN #2: Richie - Harley Davidson
Super Glide (black)
- Heaps of cool
cars again, like a tiny BMW Isetta
300, a few Jags, eight or so motorbikes,
a Toyota 86 GT, Mercedes SLS AMG,
a cool old hearse, a limo, and of
course a Rolls Royce...... tank
engine! It 'only' has 650hp, and
is rather loud when standing next
to it!

Rain and sun for
the third year in a row! Nevertheless,
it STILL didn't stop people from
turning up in yet again a really
wide variety of cars which is what
we love to see!
- 137 cars
(official count, there may have
been a few more)
- $2,730.00
raised via driver and passenger
entry fee, gate fee for spectators
and any sponsor money that was left
after the bills were paid.
- Guest judge: John
Munro (Burts son). Five
judges choice trophies and prize
packs were won by (please help fill
in the blanks if you can, for some
reason it was never written down
which cars won);
AUSTRALIAN: Holden ?
BRITISH: Mini Cooper (dark red with
silver decals)
EUROPEAN: Alex - Porsche 911 RS
replica (white/black) **
JAPANESE: Simon - Toyota Hilux (with
Nissan engine, 'Nissota') (purple/silver)
**
AMERICAN: ??
** There was
also a slight misshap this year
where two winning cars from 2011
managed to both get the same trophy
again in 2012, something we didn't
actually imagine happening so we
didn't plan for it! I can assure
you that it will not happen again,
whether i have to personally double
check it all before its announced
or not! Sincere apologies to those
who recognised this occurance on
the day/afterwards and were dismayed
by it. Personally i would have liked
to have seen the Ferrari 512BB or
Skoda get the European trophy and
a purple (or blue?) Mazda RX2/RX3
get the Japanese one.
If your car has won a trophy previously,
please don't let this put you off
bringing it back, it's just a way
to give extra thanks to a select
few who bring their cars along!
- Yet again there
were lots of awesome cars, like
a Ford Seirra Cosworth RS500 (?),
NZ's only Ferrari 599 GTO, Porsche
Caymans, Ford Mustangs/Facons, Pontiac
Firebirds, BMWs, big American trucks,
Valiant Chargers, and way too many
more to mention!
